1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Yarnie ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Application.
Yarnie is operated by Yarnie ("we", "us", or "our"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
2. Description of Service
Yarnie is an AI-powered desktop application that provides real-time assistance during meetings, and conversations. The Application offers:
- Q&A Mode: Answer questions using AI analysis of audio input
- Advisor Mode: Receive contextual suggestions and guidance
- Notes Mode: Capture and summarize meeting content
The Application requires an internet connection and uses third-party AI services (including Google Gemini and OpenAI) to process your requests.
3. Account and Credits
3.1 Account Creation
To use Yarnie, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
3.2 Credit System
Yarnie operates on a credit-based system:
- New users receive a one-time welcome bonus of credits
- Paid plans include monthly credit allocations
- Credits are consumed with each AI interaction
- Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing period
- Credits cannot be transferred between accounts
3.3 Subscription and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time, with access continuing until the end of your billing period.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Yarnie to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Record or process conversations without proper consent from all participants
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit malicious code or attempt to compromise our systems
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Application
- Use automated systems to abuse the credit system
- Generate content that is harmful, threatening, or discriminatory
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without refund.
5. Privacy and Data
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your data.
Key points:
- Audio is processed in real-time and not permanently stored
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- Usage data may be collected for service improvement
- You may request deletion of your account and associated data
6. Intellectual Property
The Application, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Yarnie and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of any content you input into the Application. By using Yarnie, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for providing the service.
7. Third-Party Services
Yarnie integrates with third-party AI providers. Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms:

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.
8. Disclaimers
THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that:
- The AI responses will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs
- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- The Application will meet your specific requirements
Yarnie is a productivity tool, not professional advice. Do not rely solely on AI responses for legal, medical, financial, or other critical decisions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yarnie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Application.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using Yarnie and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
Upon termination, your right to use the Application ceases immediately. Provisions that should survive termination (such as limitation of liability) will remain in effect.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
